Position Overview
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is recruiting for a full-time Program Coordinator I specializing in Marketing, Game Presentation, and Fan Experience within its Athletics Marketing department. This role is based in Piscataway, NJ, and focuses on supporting and enhancing the visibility and engagement of Rutgers Athletics events.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all marketing and fan experience activities related to Rutgers Athletics, focusing on assigned sports programs.
- Coordinate and direct digital and traditional advertising campaigns as well as promotional initiatives to maximize audience reach and engagement.
- Lead game day projects for Rutgers Football, including operations within the stadium and along the Rutgers Boardwalk area.
- Plan, execute, and maintain the email marketing calendar to support outreach efforts.
- Support social media initiatives to bolster Rutgers Athletics' online presence.
- Administer Sir Henry’s Kid’s Club, ensuring effective engagement and programming for members.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree or a comparable level of education and/or related professional experience.
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience in marketing, ticketing, or database management within intercollegiate athletics.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational aptitude with an ability to manage multiple concurrent projects at a high level.
- Capability to make autonomous decisions within the scope of responsibilities.
- Proficiency with computers and marketing technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in deploying email marketing campaigns along with a comprehensive understanding of associated platforms.
