Production Planner

The Production Planner at Poulter Family Wines will oversee the coordination and scheduling of wine bottling activities, ensuring timely preparation and organization of production runs. Role Responsibilities

• Create and update a continuous bottling and production schedule that reflects current forecasts and stock needs.
• Translate customer orders and demand forecasts into actionable production plans.
• Monitor deadlines and prioritize production based on customer requirements.
• Manage revisions to the production schedule and ensure communication across relevant departments.
• Coordinate wine preparation and other production prerequisites.
• Forecast and procure necessary consumables such as bottles, cartons, labels, and closures.
• Oversee supplier lead times and track outstanding supply requirements.
• Ensure all production runs are fully prepped with correct wine, dry goods, labels, and paperwork before bottling.
• Prepare detailed bottling specifications, essential production documentation, and system entries.
• Identify potential bottlenecks, shortages, or capacity issues proactively to prevent production delays.
• Reconcile completed bottling runs accounting for finished inventory, wine volumes, and dry goods usage.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within planning and production processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Background in production planning, manufacturing, supply chain management, procurement, FMCG, food and beverage, or wine industries is advantageous.
• Demonstrated strong planning abilities and a capacity to learn swiftly.
