Role Overview
The Product Owner, Services works within a cross-functional team focused on transforming our Advisor and Enterprise Wealth Management Platforms by enhancing features for existing and new markets. This role involves collaboration with customers, internal teams, software engineers, and architects to define, sell, and execute service-based projects that add value to our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and convey business requirements and value in partnership with clients and solution engineering, documenting them in Product Requirements Documents and Statements of Work.
- Maintain and prioritize a well-prepared backlog to support Sprint Planning.
- Approve User Stories upon meeting acceptance criteria and Definition of Done, ensuring quality and fitness for use.
- Engage in release and product increment planning and contribute to the Product Roadmap aligned with vision and strategy.
- Collaborate on story writing, backlog readiness, sprint prioritization, and Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives.
- Ensure User Stories meet the Definition of Ready and have clear acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate dependencies with other Product Owners and share market insights to guide the team on solving the right problems.
- Develop and share domain expertise within the team, track progress against objectives, and communicate updates organization-wide.
- Prioritize customer-reported defects and enhancements within the Product Backlog.
- Lead Program Increment planning for the Product Team and represent the customer’s voice to ensure valuable solutions.
- Review and contribute to product documentation and collateral, ensuring accuracy and alignment with release milestones and corporate standards.
- Build and maintain strong, productive customer relationships.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Product Owner in an Agile software development setting.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent experience with strong understanding of Agile product management and Scrum practices.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish, both verbal and written, due to regular collaboration with Latin American clients.
- Knowledge of Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence or similar platforms.
- Working familiarity with SQL and APIs.
- Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Figma Make) to assist in creating product artifacts.
- A degree in business or a technical discipline.

Work Environment and Location
This role is based in Toronto, Canada, with a hybrid work model requiring approximately three days onsite. Occasional travel to client sites may be needed.
