Role Summary

As a Product Owner within the Transformation Office based in Nashville, TN, you will be the vital link between our business goals and engineering delivery. Reporting to the SMP Transformation Office Product Manager, this full-time on-site position involves a hybrid work environment with some travel obligations. You will guide the engineering team by translating strategic roadmaps into actionable user stories, maintaining a well-groomed backlog, and ensuring timely and high-quality delivery aligned with our restructuring initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the sole owner of the development team’s backlog, guaranteeing clear visibility and communication of its contents.
  • Facilitate collaborative processes to convert roadmap features into clearly defined user stories alongside business analysts, testers, and developers, retaining accountability for clarity and acceptance standards.
  • Consistently prioritize backlog items based on their value to the business, user impact, and strategic direction.
  • Conduct backlog refinement sessions to maintain a healthy pipeline of stories ready for upcoming development cycles.
  • Function as the main point of contact for developers during sprints to resolve queries and offer detailed requirement clarifications.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews to support smooth execution.
  • Collaborate closely with the product manager, stakeholders, and end-users to gather comprehensive requirements and understand the underlying rationale.
  • Manage User Acceptance Testing sessions to validate features against business needs and ensure quality delivery.
