About Middesk
Middesk helps companies verify business identities with less friction and far less manual effort. Since 2018, the company has been modernizing business identity verification by giving teams access to reliable, current data so they can onboard customers faster and manage risk throughout the customer journey.
The company was founded by Y Combinator alumni, is supported by Sequoia Capital and Accel Partners, and has been recognized on Forbes’ Fintech 50 list.
About the Role
Middesk is hiring a Product Marketing Associate to help drive product marketing work across the full go-to-market process. This position is designed for someone who wants meaningful ownership, not a purely supporting role, and who is excited to build skills in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll work on positioning, launches, sales support, and competitive research in close partnership with product, sales, and marketing teams. The ideal candidate can take a clear direction and run with it, ask thoughtful questions when things are unclear, and consistently deliver polished work.
This opportunity is suited to someone developing toward a broader product marketing scope, with room to take on more strategic responsibilities over time.
The role follows a hybrid setup with an expectation of working from the San Francisco or New York office two days each week. Candidates should live within a reasonable commuting distance, as the team values in-person collaboration while still maintaining flexibility.
What You’ll Do
- Create and refine positioning and messaging for Middesk’s business identity products across segments such as fintechs, lenders, enterprise financial services, and marketplaces.
- Help coordinate product and feature launches from planning through release, making sure cross-functional milestones are met along the way.
- Build sales enablement assets such as pitch decks, one-pagers, and competitive battle cards that help sales teams progress opportunities.
- Track competitors and market shifts so the team’s positioning and comparison frameworks stay relevant.
- Support customer research with senior team members through interviews, feedback analysis, and usage insights to improve messaging and inform GTM decisions.
- Help distribute product narratives and the company’s point of view in the market alongside the broader marketing team.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 3 years of experience in product marketing, content marketing, or a similar B2B marketing function.
- Practical experience using AI-enabled marketing workflows, plus curiosity about how AI is changing buyer discovery and product evaluation.
- Exposure to launch planning, sales enablement, or competitive positioning as part of go-to-market work.
- Strong writing ability and the skill to turn complex products into messaging that is clear and audience-friendly.
- A strong sense of ownership, including proactive communication, follow-through, and focus on outcomes rather than just tasks.
- Comfort working through ambiguity and a preference for building systems and processes rather than simply inheriting them.
- A collaborative style, with experience partnering effectively across sales, product, and marketing teams.
Nice to Have
- Background in a fast-growing fintech or B2B SaaS environment.
- Exposure to compliance, identity, or financial services-related use cases.
