About Fox Corporation and Supercast
Fox Corporation produces and distributes influential content across brands such as FOX News Media, FOX Sports, FOX Entertainment, FOX Television Stations, and Tubi Media Group. Through these, it supports a diverse creator base in generating culturally impactful content with a focus on creativity, operational excellence, and strategic vision.
Supercast, recently acquired by Red Seat Ventures (a Fox Corp. company), powers premium subscriptions for top podcasts and creators like Huberman Lab, This American Life, Peter Attia, and My Favorite Murder. The company is expanding beyond podcast subscriptions to offer a wider array of tools for podcast-first creators to engage and monetize their audiences.
Role Overview
As the founding Product Manager reporting directly to the CEO, you will collaborate closely with engineering, design, and creator engagement teams to build products serving thousands of creators and hundreds of thousands of subscribers. Your mission will be to facilitate faster launches, improve subscriber conversion rates, and support thriving subscription businesses for creators.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the product lifecycle focusing on roadmap creation, problem discovery, launching, adoption, review, and iteration.
- Collaborate with Toronto-based engineering and design teams to prioritize and develop new features enhancing creator and subscriber experiences.
- Engage regularly with creators and subscribers to gain insights into platform usage, challenges, and potential product enhancements.
- Identify and test product strategies to improve subscriber conversion, retention, and increase creator revenue.
- Develop clear product requirements, coordinate team alignment on objectives, schedules, and success metrics.
- Use analytics, feedback, and research to steer product decisions and prioritize development efforts.
- Contribute to shaping long-term product strategies including mobile applications, livestreaming, community features, and tools that deepen creator-audience connections.
Challenges to Address
- Help creators launch and expand subscription services effectively, guiding them through pricing, membership tiers, and launch methods.
- Increase the percentage of fans converting into paying subscribers.
- Leverage aggregated data from thousands of creators to pinpoint success factors on the platform.
- Develop tools that strengthen creator-audience relationships and reduce churn.
- Extend Supercast’s offerings beyond subscriptions to encompass a comprehensive toolkit for podcast-first creators.
Candidate Requirements
- Residency is required in Ontario, Canada.
- Minimum three years of experience managing digital products, preferably within SaaS, consumer platforms, media, or creator economy sectors.
- Strong customer focus with a deep understanding of creator and subscriber behaviors.
- Ability to identify impactful product improvements that boost creator success and subscriber metrics.
- Skilled in distilling ambiguous input from multiple sources into clear, actionable product direction.
- Exceptional collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver products from concept to launch.
- Strategic mindset to understand product impacts on growth, conversion, and retention.
- Proactive approach favoring rapid iteration and learning over prolonged planning.
- Passionate about the creator economy and eager to build tools empowering top creators.
Measures of Success
- Notable enhancements in creator launch outcomes and subscriber engagement rates.
- Regular delivery of product updates that enable revenue growth and stronger audience connections.
- Effective teamwork with engineering, design, and creator-facing teams ensuring impactful feature releases.
- A balanced product roadmap combining short-term gains with long-range platform development.
Work Environment and Benefits
- Opportunity to influence how leading podcast creators build sustainable audience businesses.
- Part of a growing team backed by Red Seat Ventures, focusing on platform expansion and innovation.
- A collaborative, remote-first culture operating mostly within North American Pacific to Eastern Time zones.
- Significant ownership over product direction and implementation.
- Annual salary range of CAD 104,000 to 135,000, subject to qualifications and experience.
- Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, insurance, and paid time off.
