Product Engineer

Overview

This role is with a partner company based in the United Arab Emirates seeking a Product Engineer to create innovative products at the cross-section of artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and decentralized science. The engineer will focus on translating cutting-edge AI research into user-friendly applications that allow exploration of complex biological and health data. The position combines engineering, product development, and rapid experimentation to deliver minimum viable products (MVPs).

Key Responsibilities

• Rapidly design, develop, and launch user-centric MVP applications using iterative approaches to validate concepts and assess user benefit.
• Build AI-powered product features and experiences that make advanced tools accessible to users.
• Integrate and connect with external data sources such as health platforms, electronic health records, and biological databases.
• Transform complex AI-generated outputs into clear, actionable, and intuitive interfaces.
• Prototype new product ideas, test hypotheses with users, and quickly refine solutions based on feedback.
• Own the development process of applications, enabling the AI research team to focus on core technology advancements.
• Manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation and architectural planning through deployment and ongoing enhancements.
• Address technical uncertainties by creating practical solutions amid evolving technology and incomplete specifications.
• Collaborate with technical and product teams to identify user needs and deliver meaningful experience enhancements.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven track record of building and releasing products actively used by customers or end users.
• Strong full-stack development skills with emphasis on frontend and user experience design.
• Capability to rapidly prototype, iterate, and launch production-ready software.
• Experience integrating with complicated, often inconsistent or undocumented APIs and third-party data sources.
• Strong product sense focused on addressing user problems rather than purely technical issues.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments with evolving priorities and fast iteration cycles.
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts into user-friendly designs.
• Experience designing interfaces for AI or machine learning systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of healthcare APIs, health data platforms, fitness trackers, or personal analytics tools is a plus.
• Interest in biology, health tech, AI, or emerging scientific fields is desirable.
• Background in design or strong capabilities in UI/UX is beneficial.
