Descrizione del lavoro
About the Role
Perlman Clinic is looking for a Product Designer to help improve the healthcare experience for both patients and staff. Since opening its first primary care location in San Diego in 2005, the organization has expanded its services to include mental health therapy, psychiatry, weight management, and other care options delivered through an increasing number of clinics and telemedicine. The design team works on the clinic’s website, online scheduling tools, and PocketDoc telemedicine app, while also shaping workflows that connect digital tools with day-to-day clinic operations.
What You’ll Do
- Own the product design process end to end, from early concept exploration through delivery and launch. This includes shaping product direction, uncovering user needs, crafting solutions, and supporting adoption.
- Help establish and improve a reliable process for strong user research and design quality.
- Create product enhancements that meaningfully support patients, clinical teams, and non-clinical staff.
- Plan and run user research using both qualitative and quantitative methods, then translate findings into product decisions.
- Produce core UX outputs such as user journeys, wireframes, and polished interactive prototypes.
- Work closely with other designers, engineers, clinical staff, and internal stakeholders across the company.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate has experience in product design, UX design, and/or UX research. They should be well-versed in UX best practices, common UI standards, and user testing methods. A strong candidate understands how to balance user needs with stakeholder goals to create solutions that have real impact. Comfort with ambiguity, flexibility in approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once are also important.
Nice to Have
It would be a plus if you have helped raise a company’s design maturity by contributing to a design system, building or maintaining feedback workflows, or setting up formal design processes.
