Product Designer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Product Designer on a contract basis to craft innovative, user-focused products that support our organization’s business goals. This role involves collaborating with cross-team members such as product managers, engineers, and marketing professionals to deliver visually appealing, user-friendly, and functional digital designs for websites, apps, and potentially hardware.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing user research, developing wireframes, prototypes, and polished designs, and iteratively refining these based on user and stakeholder input. They will ensure design consistency across all platforms, enhance overall user experience, and validate designs through testing with real users, driving data-informed improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal applicant has a strong background in product design with demonstrated experience in UX/UI principles, capable of simplifying complex issues into clear, intuitive interfaces. Proficiency with design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD for crafting wireframes and prototypes is essential. Additionally, experience conducting user research and usability tests is needed to ground design decisions in user insights.

Effective collaboration skills to work seamlessly with various stakeholders, problem-solving abilities with an innovative mindset, and high attention to detail to ensure precision and consistency in design implementation are critical. Familiarity with design systems and agile development environments is also required. Outstanding communication skills to convey design rationale to varied audiences complete the profile.

Educational Background

A degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or related disciplines is preferred alongside supplementary UX/UI or design thinking certifications.
