Job Overview
This role is for a procurement and supplier development professional who can support supply planning, supplier coordination, inventory control, quality follow-up, and new product development work. The position focuses on keeping materials available on time, improving supplier performance, ensuring quality adherence, and working closely with internal teams to support manufacturing needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan material requirements, issue purchase orders, and track supplier deliveries so they arrive as scheduled.
- Review planned versus actual performance and study deviations to help achieve production goals.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships, support capacity improvements, and monitor delivery performance.
- Carry out supplier audits (SQIP), follow up on corrective actions, and confirm that quality standards are met.
- Track supplier CAPA actions, investigate root causes, and verify that fixes remain effective.
- Manage stock levels and ensure raw materials are available to avoid interruptions in production.
- Create monthly procurement dashboards, supplier performance summaries, and rejection PPM reports.
- Assist with new product development by coordinating with suppliers, supporting tooling development, and handling part approval activities.
- Oversee procurement and supply of ancillaries and manage stock of company assets at supplier locations.
- Keep procurement-related QMS files and ISO compliance documentation up to date.
- Work with Quality, Production, Stores, Finance, Engineering, and Corporate teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Manage CER tasks, including quotation collection, cost comparison, and supplier evaluation.
Requirements
- Prior experience in procurement, supply chain, supplier development, or vendor management is needed.
- Working knowledge of SAP, supplier audits, inventory control, and quality management systems is expected.
- Strong skills in analysis, negotiation, and coordination across departments are important.
- Experience in manufacturing, foundry, machining, or an engineering environment is preferred.
Eligibility
