Process Technician

About the Role

Join a rapidly expanding gold production company in Western Australia as a Process Technician. This role offers a permanent position at the new Jupiter operation near Laverton, Western Australia, located 15 minutes from Mt Morgan Camp and roughly an hour's flight from Perth to Leonora. The position operates on a FIFO 8 days on/6 days off and 7 nights on/7 days off roster from Perth, or a DIDO option from Kalgoorlie, with established camp and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the operation and control of the gold processing plant ensuring efficiency and safety.
• Oversee processes in crushing and grinding, gravity recovery, leaching and adsorption circuits (CIL/CIP), elution, electrowinning, gold room activities, and tailings disposal.
• Perform routine plant inspections, startups, shutdowns, and troubleshooting on equipment.
• Monitor plant parameters and adjust processes to optimize throughput and recovery rates.
• Detect and report equipment faults and deviations in the process.
• Support maintenance efforts by assisting with basic tasks and collaborating with maintenance personnel.
• Maintain comprehensive logs, operational reports, and shift handover documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental standards, and maintain housekeeping standards.

Candidate Requirements

• At least two years of proven experience working in a process plant environment.
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a diverse team, communicating effectively with colleagues from varied backgrounds.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Energetic, goal-oriented with a strong commitment to high performance.
• Possession of relevant tickets or licences such as Skid Steer, Forklift High Risk, Mini Excavator, Integrated Tool Carrier, Working at Heights (WAH), Confined Space Entry (CSE), Atmospheric Gas Testing, Gantry Crane operation, and a valid C Class driver's licence.
