Job description
Overview
This position is a temporary to permanent opportunity with weekly pay and is based on an 8:6 roster. The role involves working as a Process Technician supporting the Fixed Plant and Processing crew in a gold mining operation located in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor various plant circuits including crushing, grinding, flotation, leaching, adsorption, elution, and gold room processes to meet production objectives.
- Carry out routine inspections and equipment checks to ensure the plant operates safely and efficiently.
- Monitor critical process parameters such as flow rates, pressures, densities, reagent usage, and overall plant performance metrics.
- Collect samples and perform basic metallurgical tests adhering to site protocols.
- Accurately complete shift logs, production records, and other operational documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and high housekeeping standards across all processing areas.
Qualification and Requirements
- A minimum of three years’ experience in gold mine processing is essential.
- Must be capable of passing a Pre-Employment Medical examination.
