Job Overview

We are looking for a practical and experienced Process & General Maintenance Lead to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient functioning of our chemical and API manufacturing plant. This role integrates responsibilities spanning equipment upkeep, process assistance, and general facility maintenance to uphold operational reliability and a hazard-free environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a safety-first culture by adhering to safe work protocols during all maintenance activities.
  • Comply with OSHA, EPA, and GMP safety standards, and conduct required safety procedures such as lockout/tagout and hot work documentation.
  • Quickly identify and report hazards, leaks, or unsafe situations to support the goal of zero accidents or environmental incidents.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, piping, mixers, and tanks, including troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for repairs when necessary, and maintain production equipment reliability.
  • Assist with cleaning, flushing, and preparation of process systems as needed, keeping detailed maintenance logs via SAP or similar systems.
  • Conduct building maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and light electrical repairs to maintain facility infrastructure.
  • Keep exterior and interior facility areas clean, organized, and free from hazards.
  • Work with vendors for larger infrastructure or utility repairs and participate in emergency or weather-related maintenance.
  • Identify and implement improvements in safety practices, equipment uptime, and maintenance efficiency, including small capital projects and process enhancements.
  • Organize tools and supplies to maintain safe and orderly workspaces.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training preferred.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in industrial, manufacturing, or chemical settings.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge including pumps, valves, piping, and basic electrical repairs.
  • Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals, schematics, and safety instructions.
  • Familiarity with GMP and OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
  • Competence in using tools, ladders, and construction materials safely.
  • Basic computer skills for documenting maintenance activities; experience with SAP or comparable systems is advantageous.
