Role overview
This position focuses on maximizing revenue for Etihad Airways by controlling the sellable inventory of products, selecting the most effective pricing for different market segments, and using demand forecasts and fare analysis to support revenue growth.
Key accountabilities
- Own monthly revenue delivery against the agreed targets and help drive the best possible revenue outcome for the network.
- Design market-segment pricing for Etihad’s products and services, aligned to the overall pricing strategy and benchmarked against competitor airlines, while securing agreement from Market Managers and following pricing guidelines.
- Track and forecast demand across price points for Etihad’s products and services, with a strong focus on maximizing revenue during peak holiday periods and special events.
- Ensure consumer demand forecasts and fare assumptions are accurate, as these directly feed the revenue management optimization engine and influence business results.
- Review market conditions, economic signals, and competitor actions, then make day-to-day pricing and demand adjustments to capture the highest possible revenue.
- Assess pricing proposals from key commercial partners and stakeholders, and determine pricing through structured, evidence-based analysis.
- Support the creation of customer-focused product propositions and contribute to revenue management activities that help achieve commercial goals.
Qualifications and experience
- A degree-level education is preferred, or equivalent relevant analytical experience.
- At least 5 years of work experience in a numerate, analytical role.
- Strong familiarity with airline systems and tools such as PROS, Origin & Destination systems, GDS, MIDT, and management accounting reports.
