Role Overview

The Pricing Analyst within the Surgery Franchise in Saudi Arabia plays a crucial role in supporting strategic pricing initiatives. You will work closely with business partners and country account management teams to drive value-based pricing strategies, maximize innovation value, and lead tender pricing activities across the KSA private and direct sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate proactively with business stakeholders and account teams to advise on strategic pricing approaches that enhance product value and support innovation.
• Assist the Pricing Lead by conducting multifactor pricing analyses to detect trends, root causes of price erosion or profit leaks, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Manage and lead indirect tender submissions for the KSA private sector and support direct tender activities.
• Analyze tender quotations, profitability, and outcomes using win/loss reviews and pricing simulations to build insights that improve tender success rates.
• Utilize historical tender data, market data, and win/loss analyses to inform pricing tactics and competitive positioning.
• Ensure monthly Price Performance Reports and Business Reviews are timely, accurate, and comprehensive.
• Maintain adherence to local and EMEA pricing governance policies.
• Identify opportunities to optimize product mix to increase overall profitability.
• Lead price escalation initiatives in line with guidelines and provide detailed analyses to support these discussions.
• Help develop governance frameworks and discount matrix models to ensure compliance with pricing policies.
• Perform price change simulations during product lifecycle updates to optimize sales, gross profit via pricing, volume, and mix.
• Conduct pricing training sessions for sales and marketing teams to enhance their capability in influencing pricing decisions, understanding product value, and positioning.
• Continuously refine pricing reporting and analytics, managing Power BI dashboards and reports to enhance business insights.
• Maintain and ensure accuracy of product databases and price lists in alignment with regulatory standards.
• Oversee timely approvals within pricing tools ensuring compliance with guidelines.
• Lead or support pricing and tender-related projects as required.
• Update Pricing Standard Operating Procedures regularly.
• Ensure pricing processes comply with SOX controls and related requirements, including timely SOX report submissions related to pricing on SAP.
• Manage and enhance the Price and Profitability Tool to aid decision-making.
• Maintain accurate pricing data in SAP for efficient order processing.
• Provide training and lead change management for users of tender management systems.
• Promote adherence to regulatory, company compliance standards, and promptly report any deviations.
• Commit to ongoing personal training requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Marketing, Economics, Business, or Engineering.
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience, ideally in pricing, tenders, or finance within the region; experience in medical devices or pharmaceuticals is an advantage.
• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
• Familiarity with SAP is beneficial.
• Strong analytical and technical capabilities with understanding of pricing strategies, commercial frameworks, compliance, and data modeling.
• Excellent business insight, attention to detail, and a collaborative team mindset.
• Capability to analyze complex data and develop actionable solutions.
• Fluent in English and Arabic; additional French language ability is a plus.
• Strong communication skills for daily interactions with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to influence decisions using fact-based data and clear communications.
• Proactive, flexible, solution-oriented with a strong sense of urgency.
