Prevailing Wage Specialist

Role Overview

A company based in Orlando is seeking a Prevailing Wage Specialist to manage and ensure compliance with wage regulations across multiple states. This role involves preparing and auditing Certified Payroll Reports (CPRs), verifying wage payments, and reviewing detailed documentation to meet federal, state, and local standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile, evaluate, and submit weekly Certified Payroll Reports across various states in alignment with prevailing wage requirements.
• Conduct thorough examinations of CPRs including the Statement of Compliance, Wage & Hour Records, Deduction Records, and Fringe Benefit Records to verify their accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure all mandatory information such as dates, signatures, job classifications, and project details are properly filled in accordance with relevant regulations.
• Confirm employee compensation adheres to applicable wage determinations, classifications, fringe benefits, and locality-specific wage schedules.
• Audit payroll figures meticulously, assessing gross wages by project, weekly totals, deductions, and net pay for precision.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and build cross-departmental relationships.
