Pre-Primary Teacher

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Pre-Primary Teacher to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a safe, clean, and child-friendly classroom while delivering age-appropriate educational activities and maintaining adherence to health and safety standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain an organized, clean, and secure classroom that meets child safety standards.
• Understand and incorporate children's developmental milestones into daily lesson planning.
• Design and execute engaging learning activities aligned with structured lesson plans, while remaining flexible to children’s interests and developmental needs.
• Supervise children during indoor/outdoor play, mealtime, and rest to ensure safety and well-being.
• Provide individualized care and encourage positive behaviors among children.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and offer basic first aid when required.
• Communicate effectively with children using age-appropriate methods.
• Observe and assess children's progress, document developmental milestones, and communicate any concerns to parents or guardians.
• Maintain regular communication with parents on children's daily activities and development.
• Engage in continuous professional development and collaborate effectively with staff members.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the School Head.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Knowledge of child growth and development relevant to pre-primary age groups.
• Capability to organize a balanced daily schedule including active, quiet, meal, and rest periods suited to children's age and needs.
• Proficiency in maintaining a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
• Skills in basic first aid and emergency response.
• Strong communication skills appropriate for young learners and their families.
• Ability to observe, assess, and report on child development benchmarks.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and teamwork.
