Role Overview
The Planning Associate plays a pivotal role in supporting daily planning functions to ensure smooth and efficient last-mile delivery operations. This position involves analyzing operational data, forecasting demand, tracking performance metrics, and partnering with various teams to optimize delivery capabilities and enhance service quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in daily planning and execution of last-mile operations.
- Examine operational data to uncover trends, identify gaps, and suggest areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain performance reports and dashboards on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Track key performance indicators including delivery success rates, resource utilization, productivity, and adherence to service level agreements.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Dispatch, Workforce Management, and other cross-functional departments for seamless process implementation.
- Help forecast order quantities and workforce needs aligned with anticipated demand.
- Spot process bottlenecks and propose data-backed solutions for resolution.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of operational data to aid effective planning and decision-making.
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at process enhancement and quality improvement.
- Conduct on-demand analyses to generate actionable insights supporting strategic business decisions.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related disciplines.
- Between zero to two years of professional experience in planning, operations, logistics, supply chain, or analytical roles.
- Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or Tableau is advantageous.
- Keen attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for managing stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Ability to interpret complex data sets and convert findings into operational improvements.
- A proactive attitude and commitment to continual process improvements.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are considered a bonus.
