Workday Talent Hub is seeking a People Operations Partner to help enhance and scale the employee experience at Whatnot, the largest live shopping platform in North America and Europe. This full-time, remote role based in New York, NY offers a salary range of $113,000 to $125,000 with equity opportunities. The position emphasizes building scalable, compliant, and data-driven People Operations systems with a focus on accuracy, audit readiness, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage essential People Operations tasks across the employee lifecycle, such as job changes, departures, and compensation updates, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance and prepare for audits by keeping precise records and strengthening internal controls and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Total Rewards teams to support payroll and time & attendance systems, resolving issues and ensuring a seamless employee experience.
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards using Workday to provide actionable insights that guide business and operational decisions.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional projects involving Recruiting, IT, Finance, Legal, and People Business Partners from initiation through completion.
  • Serve as a Workday subject matter expert to ensure data integrity and maintain clean, audit-prepared systems.
  • Identify workflow gaps and design improvements that enhance process efficiency, compliance, and user experience.
  • Improve the People Operations helpdesk by responding to Tier 1 and Tier 2 inquiries, recognizing patterns, and enhancing self-service resources.
  • Support team continuity by documenting processes, sharing knowledge, and assisting across onboarding, operations, systems, reporting, and compliance functions.

Candidate Profile

  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in People Operations, HR operations, or related roles, preferably in rapidly expanding organizations.
  • Proficiency in Workday for transaction handling, report creation, and proactive data issue resolution.
  • Background in compliance, audits, payroll, and/or time & attendance management systems.
  • An aptitude for systems thinking and process optimization.
  • Ability to operate independently, managing multiple priorities and driving projects in ambiguous settings.
  • Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proactive communication capabilities.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zendesk, Culture Amp, Navan, Slab, or Notion.
