Your Role as People Advisor
In this pivotal position, you will support the People Partnering team to deliver timely, practical, and consistent HR assistance throughout One New Zealand. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are inquisitive, self-assured, and eager to advance their HR careers. You will gain hands-on experience handling cyclical HR processes, reporting, documentation, employee engagement, and project support activities.
Collaborating closely with People Consultants, Business Partners, and other stakeholders, you will provide frontline support, help streamline people initiatives, and contribute to enhancing processes using AI tools, automation, and digital solutions. This diverse role emphasizes continuous learning and meaningful contributions toward exceptional employee experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and manage core HR processes including Performance, Talent Engagement, Remuneration, and Workforce Planning, ensuring effective and prompt execution.
- Assist in creating reports, presentations, trackers, and documentation to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Provide coordination and support during employment relations and organizational change activities to ensure successful progress.
- Serve as the initial contact point for HR inquiries, offering guidance and escalating complex issues appropriately.
- Leverage data, digital platforms, and AI tools to deliver clear HR insights and enhance operational efficiency.
- Support various HR projects and initiatives by coordinating tasks, monitoring progress, and driving follow-up actions.
- Identify and propose improvements to simplify HR processes while nurturing strong, trusted relationships within the business.
Qualifications and Skills
- Developing knowledge of HR best practices, employment processes, and applicable legislation.
- Effective communication capabilities with an ability to build rapport across diverse stakeholders.
- Innate curiosity and a sincere passion for people, employee experience, and organizational dynamics.
- Motivated to grow a career in HR with a proactive and learning-oriented attitude.
- Competent in managing data, trackers, and reporting with high attention to accuracy and detail.
- Ability to prepare polished presentations and professional summaries.
- Collaborative, flexible, capable of juggling multiple tasks while discerning when to seek support or escalate matters.
