Position Summary
Umbra Health Advocacy is looking to hire a Supervising Provider to join its team remotely within the United States. This independent contractor role involves conducting initial telehealth visits to evaluate patients for various health management programs and providing clinical supervision to Auxiliary Personnel such as Community Health Workers. The role requires adherence to Medicare billing regulations and documentation, aiming to improve patient care coordination and outcomes.
Core Duties
- Conduct evaluation and management (E/M) initiating visits via telehealth to assess patient needs and establish care plans.
- Ensure all services and documentation comply with Medicare rules and Umbra's policies, including proper coding for billing.
- Supervise Auxiliary Personnel to guarantee clinical protocols and documentation standards are met.
- Oversee Social Determinants of Health assessments conducted by Auxiliary Personnel, ensuring compliance for billing purposes.
- Review and approve clinical documentation and CPT codes prior to billing submissions.
- Provide clinical guidance on complex cases and recommend appropriate ongoing patient care.
- Maintain quality assurance by ensuring all care services meet regulatory and clinical standards.
- Collaborate closely with advocacy teams to address patient needs effectively.
Qualifications
- Active unrestricted medical license (MD, DO, NP, or PA) in the United States; multi-state licensure preferred.
- Board certification or equivalent in relevant specialties is advantageous.
- At least 5 years clinical experience with a minimum of 2 years in supervisory roles.
- Familiarity with Medicare billing requirements, CPT coding, and documentation rules.
- Experience working with Auxiliary Personnel like Community Health Workers preferred, but not mandatory.
- Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented, patient-focused, able to work independently in a remote setting.
