The Role

We are seeking a proactive and talented Part 1 Architectural Assistant to join our Truro studio for a year-long placement starting July/August 2026. This role offers a valuable opportunity to grow your design and communication skills while engaging in diverse multidisciplinary projects. You will be encouraged to deepen your proficiency with Revit and BIM within our dynamic practice. Candidates with exceptional portfolios and proven abilities will be supported with tailored opportunities to enhance their developing careers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop design proposals utilizing Revit and hand drawings
• Assist in the design process and coordinate detailed design elements
• Contribute to construction specifications
• Prepare plans, drawings, and documents for statutory approvals
• Participate in design stage risk assessments
• Conduct site visits and support contract management
• Help organize meetings and prepare relevant documentation
• Assist in coordinating with related professionals and managing tender processes
• Maintain awareness of design compliance with legal, statutory, and professional standards

Candidate Requirements

• Must be Part 1 qualified with a strong design flair and solid visual communication
• Possess an impressive portfolio showcasing design skills
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
• Basic Revit skills are a plus, with training provided to the selected candidate
