Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled developer with strong expertise in C++ to design, develop, and maintain native Over-The-Top (OTT) applications for embedded platforms. The developer will work on popular OTT apps such as Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, and Disney+ Hotstar, ensuring seamless video playback experiences across various devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop native OTT applications targeting embedded systems using C++.
- Integrate and support leading OTT streaming apps on platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, and Disney+ Hotstar.
- Work extensively on the RDK platform for deployment and customization of OTT solutions.
- Utilize the Yocto build system to customize and develop embedded Linux distributions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate, debug, and deploy applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to video playback, streaming, performance, and system stability.
- Optimize application performance and ensure smooth video playback workflows.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven hands-on experience in C++ software development.
- Prior experience working with native OTT applications such as Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, Disney+ Hotstar, or similar platforms.
- Background in embedded systems development.
- Strong familiarity with the RDK (Reference Design Kit) platform is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with the Yocto build system for embedded Linux development.
- Good understanding of OTT streaming workflows and video playback mechanisms.
- Proficiency with debugging tools and applying performance optimization techniques.
