Role Summary
The Oracle Developer will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing self-service functionalities. Key tasks include debugging, modifying existing modules, preparing and registering reports, workflow development, and managing database-specific tools such as triggers and functions. Additionally, the role entails creating standard Oracle documentation, providing user support and training, and overseeing end-user system administration.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and fix issues in existing self-service modules to ensure seamless operation.
- Create, register, and maintain Oracle reports using RDF and XML formats.
- Design, develop, and adjust workflows to meet evolving business needs.
- Utilize database tools such as functions and triggers to optimize applications.
- Develop and maintain standard Oracle documentation for system processes.
- Offer user support, including training sessions, to facilitate effective system use.
- Manage end-user support and system administration activities.
Qualification and Experience Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in information technology management or a related field from a recognized institution. They should possess a minimum of four years’ hands-on experience with Oracle development tools including Oracle Reports, Forms Developer, XML Publisher, Workflow Builder, and Oracle Applications Framework, with significant expertise in EBS form customization and configuration. A track record of involvement in at least four completed projects is essential. Experience with J2EE-based applications is considered advantageous. Additionally, the role requires two years of practice with Oracle components such as SQL*Loader, SQL*Plus, Pro*C, Oracle Developer (Forms 6i, Reports 6i), Java development through JDeveloper, ADI, Workflow Builder, and exposure to i11/R12 implementations encompassing performance tuning, customization, extensions, and interfacing.
Project management abilities, teamwork, thorough documentation skills, and effective communication in English (both verbal and written) are also critical for success.
