Role Overview
This permanent, full-time position is based at PlaceMakers Te Anau, where you will work across various departments including trade counter, yard, and Drive Thru areas, while assisting with branch inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome and deliver excellent customer service to tradespeople, businesses, and homeowners.
- Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
- Offer informed product advice, provide quotes, pricing details, and customized solutions.
- Accurately receive and record inward goods into inventory systems.
- Perform cycle counting, restock, and rotate products on shelves.
- Load and unload vehicles as required.
Working Hours and Compensation
This role requires 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays on a roster basis. The hourly wage ranges between $25 and $28, depending on experience.
Candidate Profile
- Prior customer service experience in retail sales or sales support.
- Physically capable of manual handling and heavy lifting, with a strong commitment to health and safety standards.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster strong customer relationships.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work proactively, independently, and manage pressure effectively.
- Comfortable using computer applications such as Outlook and Word; training provided for internal systems.
- Possession of a valid New Zealand full driver’s license is mandatory; forklift license is advantageous.
