Operational Data Support Planner

Role Overview

Join as an Operational Data Support Planner supporting the U.S. Army to leverage your expertise in strategic operations, data analysis, and program management. You will engage with an Army Service Component Command, facilitating mission planning, coordinating military exercises, and helping develop operational plans across Europe and Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to mission planning and program implementation by utilizing data literacy and knowledge of current and emerging analytic platforms.
• Act as subject matter expert in deliberate operational planning, delivering analysis and technical expertise for developing Operation Plans (OPLANs), overlays, and dashboards.
• Collaborate with data experts to translate priority objectives into actionable Operational Concepts aligned with Commander’s intent.
• Support coordination of exercises, training, and operational activities by building robust data foundations using various platforms.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years experience with military operations.
• At least 2 years’ involvement with Military Decision-Making Process at the Division level or higher including planning, coordinating, and executing operations and exercises.
• Experience in authoring CONOPS and Orders for at least 2 years.
• At least 2 years working with NATO Allies, partner nations, and inter-agency collaboration.
• Familiarity with knowledge management systems along with data analytics and management tools.
• Possession of a Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Preferred Experience

• Planning experience in a three-star or higher military headquarters.
• Background in current and future operations, alongside data assessment and collection.
• Expertise in data analytics and data science applications.
• Familiarity with Palantir, Maven Smart Systems (MSS), or Onebrief platforms.
• Understanding of NATO Planning Process and experience working with NATO partners and U.S. allies.
• TS/SCI clearance and a Master’s degree are advantageous.

Additional Information

Applicants must undergo a security investigation to meet eligibility for classified information access; a Secret clearance is mandatory. The proposed salary ranges from $61,900 to $141,000 annually, reflecting education, experience, and location. The role is primarily remote but may require occasional onsite presence at client or company locations.
