About Slidr
Slidr is an electric microtransit service operating in Florida and North Carolina that offers easy, on-demand transportation to local communities. In Port St. Lucie, it manages the community shuttle for the Tradition area. Riders request trips via a mobile app, and drivers pick them up using clean, fully electric vehicles. Drivers are not responsible for fuel, insurance, or wear and tear on personal vehicles.
Role Overview
We are seeking community shuttle drivers to serve the Tradition neighborhood and surrounding Port St. Lucie region. The ideal candidates prioritize safety, enjoy engaging with the local community, and provide dependable transportation service. Drivers represent the company and support neighbors by helping them reach stores, appointments, and home safely while offering assistance when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate electric community shuttles safely and reliably to provide on-demand rides within Tradition and Port St. Lucie.
- Deliver courteous, high-quality customer service to each passenger.
- Use the driver app to accept ride requests and select optimal routes ensuring timely arrivals.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle during shifts.
- Conduct vehicle inspections at shift start and report any issues promptly.
- Communicate regularly with management and team members regarding road and service updates.

Typical Shift Outline
- Start at the Tradition central hub with charged vehicles.
- Log into the driver app and complete vehicle checklist for readiness.
- Notify team immediately if any vehicle concerns arise.
- Perform a quick interior cleaning for rider comfort.
- Signal your availability and begin accepting ride requests.
- Access driver support during shifts if needed.
- Conclude shift by returning vehicle, cleaning it, and plugging it in to recharge.

Candidate Requirements
- Valid driver's license issued in Florida.
- Minimum age of 22 years.
- At least three years of licensed driving experience in the United States.
- Clean driving record without major infractions.
- Ability to drive and operate a driver app simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and sincere interest in assisting others.
- Comfortable interacting with residents of diverse age groups.
- Successful background check clearance.
- No commercial driver's license required.
