Middle QA Engineer II

Overview

Join a dynamic team as a Middle QA Engineer II focusing on mobile applications at Snoonu in Doha, Qatar. You'll test iOS and Android native apps serving millions, ensuring superior quality through various testing methodologies and active involvement in release planning. Your role will involve analyzing defects, automating UI tests, and continuously learning emerging technologies in a fast-paced digital setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute smoke, regression, feature, and exploratory tests on native iOS and Android mobile applications used by millions.
• Participate actively in release planning by representing QA interests and ensuring product quality.
• Analyze network traces and device logs to identify and diagnose defect root causes.
• Develop and maintain automated end-to-end UI tests for mobile apps.
• Interpret test outcomes to provide informed recommendations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend requirements and refine test cases for effective quality assurance.
• Stay updated with evolving technologies, standards, protocols, and tools relevant to mobile QA testing.
• Address complex business challenges ensuring the product is scalable, secure, and performs well.
• Possess understanding of mobile app architectures and call flows to enhance testing efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 3 years comprehensive experience in software development or testing lifecycle.
• At least one year of backend testing experience using POSTMAN or equivalent tools.
• Hands-on experience in testing mobile applications on Android and iOS devices.
• Skillful in designing and maintaining test tools such as virtual or test data services.
• Strong results-driven approach combined with excellent communication capabilities.
• A proactive learner with creativity and innovative problem-solving aptitude.
• Empathetic towards users with a keen interest in the human impact across diverse cultures.
• Bonus: Experience with debugging mobile apps and automated test tools like Selenium, Appium, xUnit, or Jest.
