Mechanical Project Engineer

Role Overview

This full-time, on-site Mechanical Project Engineer position based in Hyderabad entails supervising the planning, design, and implementation of mechanical systems for energy and infrastructure initiatives. The engineer will coordinate interdisciplinary activities to fulfill technical and scheduling objectives.

Key Duties

• Review technical specifications and engineering drawings.
• Perform mechanical design calculations and update CAD models.
• Support integration of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Manage project timelines and track progress milestones.
• Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to ensure project requirements.
• Ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
• Assist with site inspections and resolve technical challenges.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, reports, and project status updates.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and mechanical system design fundamentals.
• Proficiency in project engineering and management to plan and oversee project activities and deliverables.
• Expertise in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for developing and refining engineering drawings and models.
• Knowledgeable in MEP systems to aid integrated building services and energy system designs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Ability to interpret technical specs, standards, and construction drawings effectively.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities coupled with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for engaging across multifunctional teams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with industry codes, standards, site execution, and commissioning processes is advantageous.
