About the Role

Wienerberger UK & Ireland is committed to supporting the construction sector with sustainable and premium building products. We are hiring a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, also known as a Maintenance Fitter, based at our Hartlebury plant. You will be a vital member of the internal team responsible for keeping our manufacturing equipment operational through both troubleshooting and scheduled preventive maintenance. The role involves hands-on work with specialist machinery to ensure continuous and efficient production.

This position offers a diverse set of maintenance duties including fitting, fabricating, welding, and servicing machinery. Our Hartlebury facility, near Waresley and Rushock and accessible from nearby towns like Kidderminster and Bromsgrove, manufactures bricks critical to our UK-wide building materials production.

Working Hours

The schedule operates on a 4 days on, 4 days off rotation with shifts varying as follows: Shift 1 and 2 from 6am to 6pm, Shift 3 from 7am to 7pm, and Shift 4 from 6pm to 6am.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering background, preferably with a Level 3 qualification or higher. Experience in a manufacturing setting is essential. You must prioritize safety, practiced through a solid understanding of health and safety protocols. The role requires adaptability to fluctuating priorities and physical fitness to perform hands-on tasks efficiently.
