Mechanical Engineer/Lead

Overview

This role involves leading comprehensive mechanical engineering efforts for projects in EPC, Offshore, Energy, Industrial, and Heavy Engineering sectors. The position requires reviewing and approving mechanical designs and engineering deliverables, ensuring adherence to client requirements and relevant international standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead all mechanical engineering tasks from concept through execution within diverse projects.
• Review and authorize mechanical design calculations, equipment datasheets, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications, project requirements, and global codes.
• Provide technical expertise on static and rotating equipment, packages, utilities, and mechanical systems.
• Manage project schedules, delivery quality, and budget adherence for mechanical components.
• Collaborate closely with Civil, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, Procurement, Construction, and Project Management teams.
• Support fabrication, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and troubleshooting operations on site.
• Address complex technical challenges and deliver solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead technical evaluations of bids, assess vendors, and assist in equipment procurement processes.
• Review vendor documentation including manufacturing records and inspection reports for approval.
• Serve as the principal liaison with clients, consultants, licensors, and certification organizations.
• Engage in design reviews, technical discussions, and project progress meetings to ensure alignment and quality.
