Role Overview

The Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering well-structured, engaging math lessons that align with the school curriculum and learning goals. Responsibilities include planning and executing instructional sessions, evaluating student progress, providing constructive feedback, and assisting learners with diverse abilities. Additional duties involve preparing teaching materials, participating in faculty meetings, and collaborating on co-curricular and academic initiatives. This role is a full-time position based on-site in Accra, demanding regular classroom engagement and active involvement in school community life.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge and proficiency in Mathematics and the pedagogy of Mathematics Education, with clear and precise explanation capabilities.
  • Experience in creating lesson plans and contributing to curriculum development to deliver age-appropriate and structured learning experiences.
  • Holding a qualified teaching status with relevant certification or license.
  • Possession of at least a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or closely related discipline.
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to maintain student engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the capacity to provide clear feedback to students and their families.
  • Competency in utilizing educational technologies and teaching aids to enhance learning processes.
  • Commitment to inclusive and learner-centered teaching approaches along with dedication to continuous professional development.
