Role overview
Pets + People Consumer Products is looking for a resourceful and detail-focused Marketing Coordinator to join its expanding marketing team in New York City. The company partners with well-known consumer and entertainment brands and turns them into practical products for pet and people care markets. This position reports to the Sr. Marketing Manager and works closely with product development, design, and sales to help bring consistent brand stories to life across packaging, e-commerce, digital channels, and sales materials.
The ideal candidate is a skilled writer who enjoys consumer products and brand communication. The role centers on creating and refining copy that is clear, accurate, engaging, and aligned with brand voice across a variety of customer touchpoints.
Responsibilities
- Create and adapt brand-aligned copy for packaging, e-commerce product pages, Amazon listings, social media, and other marketing materials.
- Support the upkeep and improvement of e-commerce content, including titles, bullet points, and product descriptions.
- Help execute social-first campaigns through caption writing, content coordination, and general campaign support.
- Edit and proof marketing assets to maintain correct grammar, consistent tone, accuracy, and brand voice.
- Work with design and product teams so packaging copy matches brand standards, legal needs, and customer messaging.
- Manage project timing, deliverables, and creative assets across several marketing initiatives at once.
- Help prepare and organize creative briefs and marketing files.
- Assist with trade show planning and execution, including vendor coordination and on-site logistics.
- Coordinate with external vendors to help keep work on schedule and up to expected quality levels.
- Provide on-site support for events or trade shows, including setup and teardown when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a closely related discipline.
- Must be based in New York City and able to work a flexible hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
- At least 2 years of experience in marketing, copywriting, content marketing, or brand communications.
- Strong writing and editing ability with comfort writing for different audiences and content types.
- Prior experience creating product copy for packaging, online listings, retail, or social media is preferred.
- Working knowledge of e-commerce best practices, including SEO-friendly copy and marketplace content standards, is an advantage.
- Well-developed organization skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong follow-through.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Exposure to social media platforms, content management tools, or digital marketing support is a plus.
- Interest in consumer goods, licensing, pet, or household brands is a bonus.

Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000.
Additional information
This is a full-time position based in New York, NY. The role is hybrid rather than fully remote, with in-office presence expected three days per week. The job may involve supporting trade shows and events on site, including setup and breakdown.
