Role overview

The Enterprise Insights and Market Research group at Humana focuses on turning market and customer data into practical insights that help lower risk, uncover growth opportunities, and support better health outcomes for the populations served.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out, document, and improve workflows for required research programs, including Medicaid and CMS-related work.
  • Partner with research colleagues to deliver studies needed for Medicaid and CMS compliance.
  • Plan and coordinate research projects from kickoff through completion.
  • Make sure all research activities meet legal, compliance, and regulatory standards.
  • Review existing workflows and find ways to make research operations more efficient.
  • Create and refine processes that support legal, compliance, and regulatory obligations.
  • Track departmental projects and help ensure deadlines are met.
  • Build and maintain reporting tools and performance metrics for the team.
  • Act as the main point of contact for external research vendors.
  • Manage vendor contracts, evaluate performance, and support ongoing relationships.
  • Coordinate between internal teams and vendors to keep work aligned and high quality.
  • Maintain and improve operational systems such as intake tools, compliance trackers, document repositories, and the team SharePoint site.
  • Help keep research records and documentation accurate, organized, and easy to access.
  • Support senior researchers on larger or more complex assignments.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to translate research into useful business insight.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Market Research, Data Analytics, Communications, Business, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing market research projects end to end.
  • Background in vendor management, including contracts and performance reviews.
  • Experience working with healthcare-related legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to handle multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities at once.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Preferred exposure to CAHPS or other CMS-mandated research.
  • Solid understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Experience working with multicultural audiences, low-income communities, and people with disabilities is preferred.
