About the Role
A growth-oriented manufacturing engineering opportunity is open with Tata Elxsi for a motivated professional who can contribute to process development, industrial engineering, and facility-related execution. The role is focused on improving manufacturing readiness, production efficiency, and launch support across automotive and electric mobility domains.
Role Overview
This position is suited to a Manufacturing Process, Industrial, or Facility Engineer with strong experience in process design and shop-floor execution. The role involves supporting end-to-end manufacturing setup and optimization across battery pack assembly, electric drive units, and trim and final assembly lines.
Responsibilities
- Design and improve manufacturing processes for battery, EDU, and trim/final assembly operations.
- Create and maintain process flow documentation, PFMEA, control plans, and work instructions.
- Support CAPEX planning, prepare equipment specifications, and assist with procurement activities.
- Coordinate line installation, setup, commissioning, and overall launch preparedness.
- Carry out time studies, line balancing, and capacity planning; M.O.S.T certification is preferred.
- Improve cycle time, productivity, and cost effectiveness across operations.
- Drive project and program execution while tracking milestones and aligning with stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and contribute to automation and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
