Overview
This role is for a Sales Manager at the Assistant Store Manager level in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, within the B2B wholesale and retail space. The position reports to the Store Business Head (Store Manager) and is focused on expanding sales, bringing in new customers, and managing a multi-channel customer base that includes Traders, HoReCa, Offices, and Institutions.
What the role involves
The person in this position will be responsible for building business, improving repeat orders from tagged accounts, and steering team performance to support revenue and profitability goals.
Core responsibilities
- Expand sales and improve market reach across the assigned customer segments.
- Plan and execute customer acquisition efforts to grow the client base.
- Supervise, guide, and drive performance for a team of 15 to 20 Sales Executives, working through Department Managers or Team Leaders.
- Develop business across Traders, HoReCa, Offices, and Institutions.
- Lead initiatives that raise sales volume and strengthen market share.
- Increase repeat billing from tagged customers and support retention efforts.
- Review results regularly and fine-tune actions to meet sales and customer satisfaction goals.
- Work with internal teams to keep operations efficient and aligned with sales priorities.
- Track market movements and competitor activity to shape ahead-of-time sales plans.
- Share regular updates with the Store Business Head on sales progress and team performance.
Performance focus
- Growth in sales revenue across key customer groups.
- Higher repeat billing from tagged customers.
- Balanced mix of High-Value Sales (HVS) and Non-High-Value Sales (NHVS).
- Improved share of wallet from existing customers.
- Delivery of both top-line and bottom-line business targets.

Requirements
- Experience at Area Sales Manager level in FMCG sales.
- Prior work with processed food, commodities, and DnT product categories in FMCG.
- A minimum graduate degree is required.
- PGDBM with a Sales & Marketing specialization is preferred.
- Working knowledge of the local market and customer preferences.
