Job Overview

This role involves complete responsibility for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring products and services essential for organizational infrastructure, specifically for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) and Facility Management sectors. The position requires managing vendor relationships, recommending improvements in purchasing processes and controls to comply with company policies and regulatory requirements while ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough analysis of both technical and commercial aspects of products/services related to engineering disciplines such as Electrical, HVAC, PHE, and services linked to building construction and facility management.
• Evaluate and approve standard vendors and purchase orders; identify potential vendors aligned with infrastructure needs.
• Lead cost control initiatives to secure optimal pricing and product quality by analyzing pricing components and negotiating feasible terms within budget constraints.
• Review, sign, and escalate purchase orders according to authority limits with proper documentation; manage procurement requests for infrastructure and revenue purposes.
• Resolve escalations regarding delivery and payments collaboratively with customers, ensuring timely fulfillment through contingency plans.
• Research market trends for new products, technologies, and vendors; explore alternatives to improve corporate pricing and access the latest offerings.
• Approve vendor registration and empanelment to guarantee advantageous deals for the organization.
• Monitor vendor performance by leveraging SAP data, maintain accurate ratings, and communicate feedback to vendors to address and rectify requester complaints.
• Handle customs and clearance processes adhering to STPI/SEZ regulations to facilitate duty-free import clearance compliant with statutory requirements.

Additional Information

This position is full-time and requires presence onsite at the Bengaluru East location. The role emphasizes adherence to regulatory frameworks and company policies in purchase functions, focusing on infrastructure-related procurement.
