Key Responsibilities
Performance Management
- Design, oversee, and report on hospital-wide KPIs, balanced scorecards, and performance dashboards.
- Monitor departmental and institutional progress relative to strategic and operational goals.
- Conduct performance evaluations and deliver actionable insights to leadership teams.
- Ensure that operational objectives align with hospital strategy and regulatory frameworks.
Business Excellence and Continuous Improvement
- Lead initiatives for process enhancements employing Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other quality improvement techniques.
- Detect inefficiencies, operational constraints, and optimization opportunities.
- Drive projects aimed at improving performance across clinical and administrative departments.
- Foster and sustain a culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Data Analytics and Business Intelligence
- Analyze a wide range of data including operational, clinical, financial, workforce, and patient metrics.
- Build executive dashboards, scorecards, and management reports utilizing BI tools.
- Conduct trend analysis, forecasting, benchmarking, and predictive analytics.
- Interpret complex datasets into actionable insights and recommendations for decision-makers.
- Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with governance standards.
Hospital Operations Support
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to optimize patient flow, capacity management, resource utilization, and overall operational efficiency.
- Track key productivity indicators such as Bed Occupancy Rate, Average Length of Stay (ALOS), Emergency Department Turnaround Time, Operating Room Utilization, Outpatient Waiting Time, Clinic Utilization, and Readmission Rates.
- Support initiatives for operational planning and service optimization.
Quality and Accreditation
- Assist in regulatory compliance and accreditation aligned with standards like JCI, CBAHI, DOH, DHA, and MOHAP.
- Monitor quality indicators and patient safety metrics to support continuous quality improvement.
- Participate in audits, assessments, and prepare for accreditation activities.
Strategic Planning and Reporting
- Contribute to annual strategic and operational planning processes.
- Perform business case and feasibility analyses.
- Prepare presentations and detailed reports for executive leadership and board reviews.
- Benchmark organizational performance against local and international healthcare standards.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Health Informatics, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Postgraduate degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, Health Informatics, or related field) is preferred.
