Manager - Learning and Well-being Programmes

About the Role

As the Manager for Learning and Well-being Programmes within the Professional Development Branch of the Academy of Singapore Teachers (AST), you will contribute significantly to the professional advancement and overall well-being of Ministry of Education (MOE) officers. Central to AST's mission of fostering a vibrant teaching profession, you will be responsible for the creation and implementation of initiatives that nurture socio-emotional skills and promote a supportive culture across the MOE community.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to conceptualise and develop learning and well-being programmes, along with resources to enhance socio-emotional literacies and support staff wellness.
• Oversee online platforms related to professional development, ensuring content is well managed and user experience is optimised for smooth access and delivery of programmes.
• Gather, analyse, and report data on professional development efforts to inform and enhance programme design and implementation continuously.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and adopt best practices for delivering professional development, in addition to managing related programmes such as teacher awards (handling publicity, nominations, and ceremonies) and library programmes (engagement and budget oversight).
• Provide support for collaborative initiatives across various branches as required.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a minimum of three years of relevant experience, ideally in professional development or programme management.
• Interest or background in socio-emotional learning and professional well-being is advantageous.
• Strong analytical capabilities, proficient in data management with solid MS Excel skills including the use of pivot tables and statistical analysis tools.
• Excellent project management skills demonstrated by the ability to effectively handle multiple projects under time constraints.
• A proactive, resourceful, and detail-oriented professional able to work independently while maintaining accuracy.
• Effective team collaborator with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, capable of interacting confidently with a range of stakeholders including senior leaders and external partners.
