Manager – Financial Control & Business Performance

About the Role

A well-diversified organization based in Doha, Qatar is searching for a seasoned finance specialist to manage financial reporting, planning, control systems, cash-flow oversight, and overall business performance across its various operations. This role calls for a commercially astute finance professional capable of enhancing financial governance, delivering reliable management information, optimizing processes, and equipping senior executives with insightful, data-driven analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly and yearly financial closing procedures, reporting, and account reconciliations.
• Develop management reports, conduct financial analysis, prepare forecasts, and create performance dashboards.
• Lead budgeting activities and track actual results against approved financial plans.
• Oversee cash-flow forecasting, working capital, accounts receivable, and payable functions.
• Enhance financial control measures, approval workflows, and accounting protocols.
• Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulatory obligations.
• Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Evaluate business proposals, pricing strategies, contracts, and investment opportunities from a finance perspective.
• Monitor the profitability and financial outcomes of various business sectors.
• Identify areas for cost reduction, automation, and process optimization.
• Maintain consistent accounting practices and manage intercompany reconciliations.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy, responsibility, and punctual delivery.
• Provide actionable financial recommendations and support senior leadership decisions.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, ACA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• At least eight years of advancing experience in finance, including a minimum of three years in supervisory or managerial roles.
• Experience in handling multiple companies, business units, or revenue streams.
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and internal controls.
• Well-versed in IFRS and regulatory standards applicable in Qatar.
• Proven track record in audit management and statutory compliance.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP or accounting software.
• Excellent commercial acumen, analytical skills, and ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
• Upholds high levels of integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
