Key Responsibilities
- Formulate work packaging strategies and organize tender schedules.
- Identify, assess, and pre-qualify vendors for different project packages.
- Compile prequalification reports and advise clients with recommendations.
- Coordinate closely with Quantity Surveying teams for Bill of Quantities preparation.
- Develop tender documentation and oversee the end-to-end tendering procedures.
- Lead evaluations of technical and commercial bids.
- Conduct commercial negotiations with prospective bidders.
- Engage in final negotiations covering costs, contractual terms, and payment timelines.
- Develop client recommendation reports for approval processes.
- Manage contract award paperwork and prepare Letters of Award and Contract Agreements.
- Ensure proper execution and administration of contract documentation.
- Review monthly reports from Quantity Surveyors on project progress.
- Monitor project cost control documents and budgets for deviations.
- Forecast project cash flow requirements.
- Assess variations, change requests, and work orders submitted.
- Support on-site teams in managing contract administration.
- Evaluate contractors' claims and draft official contractual communications.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering obtained via full-time study.
- Proficient understanding of construction contracts, ideally with exposure to FIDIC or comparable international contract standards.
- At least 10 years of professional experience, preferably with Quantity Surveying firms, Project Management Consultancies, or within the Construction sector.
