The role is based in Ringaskiddy, County Cork, Ireland, and is part of the EH&S and Facilities Services function, under Facilities Management & Planning.
Key responsibilities

- Make sure continuity plans account for facilities risks such as utility outages, infrastructure failures, and access restrictions.
- Create and maintain emergency response standards, playbooks, and site readiness expectations.
- Work with regional FM teams and site partners to run drills, exercises, and readiness reviews.
- Support active crisis response by providing structured escalation support and decision-making input.
- Review incidents after they occur and turn lessons learned into practical improvements.
- Share readiness dashboards, risk findings, and preparedness trends with leadership.
- Build, implement, and maintain business continuity and emergency preparedness programs end to end.
- Align site-level and functional continuity plans with company standards and regulatory needs.
- Carry out risk assessments, business impact analyses, and scenario planning to identify weaknesses and mitigation actions.
- Coordinate drills and emergency exercises that test preparedness and strengthen response capability.
- Partner with EHSS, Facilities, IT, Supply Chain, and business leaders to embed continuity planning across functions.
- Track program performance and drive ongoing improvement based on best practices and lessons learned.
- Provide training, guidance, and subject-matter expertise to stakeholders on continuity and emergency preparedness.
Scope of the role
- Global site footprint: approximately 110 DePuy Synthes locations.
- Functional scope: FM business continuity, emergency preparedness, crisis readiness, and response frameworks.

- A solid understanding of risk assessment, business impact analysis, and continuity planning methods is expected.

- Clear written and verbal communication skills are needed, including the ability to train and present.
Preferred background
