Management Consultant Evaluator - Remote Contract

Role Overview

Mercor, in collaboration with a premier research organization, is seeking experienced management consultants to participate in a structured evaluation initiative. The position focuses on establishing and applying stringent quality benchmarks to consulting work samples. This role does not require producing deliverables but rather setting the standards for excellence in consulting outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed grading rubrics tailored specifically to consulting deliverables such as market research, financial models, strategic recommendations, and executive-level presentations.
• Assess completed work samples systematically against defined criteria, providing comprehensive and evidence-grounded written justifications for each evaluation.
• Ensure consistent and reproducible scoring across a range of deliverable types and complexity levels.
• Incorporate feedback from senior calibration reviewers promptly to align evaluation judgments with project quality standards.
• Analyze the quality of problem-solving approaches including business case formulation, market sizing, and implementation strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in management consulting with background from leading strategy firms such as McKinsey, Bain, BCG, or comparable.
• Expertise in financial modeling, business case development, and quantitative market analysis methodologies.
• Strong writing skills to deliver rigorous, well-founded assessments according to defined evaluation frameworks.
• Proficient in creating and evaluating executive-level slide presentations, distinguishing between boardroom-quality and standard outputs.
• Adept at working under peer review processes with openness to calibration and judgment refinement.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Prior participation in large language model (LLM) evaluation, human-data annotation, or machine learning model training projects.
• Experience in designing scoring systems, grading rubrics, or assessment frameworks in professional or academic settings.

Compensation and Work Details

The role offers a flexible remote contract opportunity, remunerated between $150 to $220 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
