Role overview

Elis is looking for a Managed Linen Service Operative to support the linen service at Kerry University Hospital in Tralee, County Kerry. This position is based onsite and is focused on keeping daily linen handling running smoothly while maintaining a high standard of service for hospital staff.

Working pattern

The schedule follows a rotating arrangement of one week on and one week off. Working days and hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00 to 12:00, Saturday from 7:00 to 13:00, and Sunday from 7:00 to 12:00.

Reporting line

The role reports directly to the On Site Managed Linen Service Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Move linen stock to and from the required areas in an efficient manner.
• Remove used linen in accordance with infection prevention and control procedures.
• Record service issues each day and escalate them appropriately.
• Handle customer questions and requests in a courteous and professional way.
• Work closely with the onsite supervisor on a daily basis.
• Carry out routine stock counts and checks.
• Keep the yard area neat, organised, and clean.
