Role Summary

The Maintenance Handyman is essential for managing daily upkeep and repair activities across properties primarily located in Munich and occasionally Freising. The position expects the candidate to ideally be based near Munich to effectively oversee maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and preventative maintenance tasks to keep properties in excellent condition.
• Perform minor carpentry work, painting, and repairs of furniture.
• Respond quickly to guest maintenance requests or complaints.
• Supervise hired contractors during major repairs, renovations, and equipment installations.
• Manage stock levels of maintenance materials and ensure tools remain safe and functional.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, conduct regular inspections, and maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities.
• Assist in emergency system testing and suggest energy efficiency enhancements.
• Collaborate with operations and housekeeping teams to promote guest satisfaction.
• Support and train colleagues on minor maintenance issues.
• Coordinate with General Management on budgeting and scheduling for significant maintenance projects.

Candidate Profile

• Completed vocational training in a relevant skilled trade.
• Proven ability to carry out routine and preventive maintenance work to uphold property standards.
• Basic skills in carpentry, painting, furniture repairs, and understanding of domestic appliances maintenance.
• Knowledgeable about safety regulations including fire protocols, with hands-on experience performing inspections.
• Capable of maintaining accurate and thorough records of maintenance procedures, inspections, and repairs.
• Ability to react swiftly to unplanned or urgent maintenance issues.
• Strong skills in communication, teamwork, and project management.
• Basic proficiency in both German and English languages.
• Possession of a valid driving license is advantageous.
