Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site position in Qatar for a Maintenance Electrician. The selected candidate will be responsible for routine and corrective electrical upkeep across rental equipment, site facilities, and related systems to keep operations safe and dependable. The job requires checking and testing electrical parts, identifying faults, and completing repairs or replacements for panels, wiring, motors, lighting, and control systems. The role also includes following preventive maintenance plans, recording completed work, and working with operations teams to limit equipment downtime. When needed, the electrician will also support urgent call-outs and after-hours maintenance.

Key Duties

• Carry out scheduled and emergency electrical servicing on rental equipment and site facilities.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose electrical components, systems, and controls.
• Repair or replace defective panels, wiring, motors, lighting, and related parts.
• Implement and track preventive maintenance programs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
• Coordinate with operations staff to reduce downtime and keep assets available for use.
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable electrical standards at all times.
• Respond to urgent maintenance needs, including after-hours support when required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Hands-on experience in electrical maintenance with a strong grasp of electricity fundamentals and safe work practices.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, components, and equipment, and carry out repairs effectively.
• Experience in planning, performing, and documenting preventive maintenance work.
• A technical diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a similar discipline.
• Prior exposure to industrial or construction equipment such as lifts, generators, and compressors is an advantage.
• Ability to understand electrical drawings, service manuals, and technical documents.
• Strict adherence to workplace safety, PPE usage, and local electrical and HSE compliance requirements.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-moving, multicultural environment.
