About the Role
Join Catholic Healthcare in Bathurst as a Maintenance Coordinator responsible for ensuring a safe, well-maintained, and secure environment for residents within an aged care facility. This permanent full-time position offers a competitive hourly pay between $36.70 and $40 plus superannuation, operating Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. Key Responsibilities
- Implementing the scheduled preventative maintenance program across the residential aged care home.
- Addressing reactive repair needs promptly within the facility.
- Coordinating with external maintenance contractors as necessary.
- Adhering to all safety policies and procedures to protect self, colleagues, and residents.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a Trade Certificate or Certificate IV in Maintenance or Building Services.
- Proven experience in building maintenance, handyman services, or related building services roles.
- Strong communication abilities coupled with a positive demeanor.
- Solid understanding and application of workplace health and safety legislation.
- Capability to establish professional relationships with residents and their families, respecting their values, customs, and spiritual beliefs.
- Competency in IT skills.
- Willingness to undergo a Police Check and obtain NDIS clearance.
- Genuine compassion and passion for caring for the elderly.
