Position Overview
Join Serco's logistics team stationed in Kuwait supporting government and military operations across various locations including Kuwait, Iraq, Syria, and U.S. sites such as Redstone Arsenal and Fort Sill. This role focuses on sustaining logistics through database management and lifecycle oversight of supplies, ensuring efficient supply chain management, inventory control, total asset visibility, and property accountability.
Key Duties
- Provide expert logistics support by managing inventory, packaging, shipping, retrograding, transporting, and maintaining government property accountability to assist military operations in austere environments.
- Track and document inventory, receipt, and shipment of equipment and systems accurately.
- Prepare assets for Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services (DLA-DS/DRMO) and manage disposition of unneeded equipment.
- Leverage commercial off-the-shelf and government logistics databases to facilitate movement of systems within the Iraq theater.
- Effectively utilize computer applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to communicate logistics transactions to contractors and government leadership.
Qualifications and Experience
- Active DoD Secret security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship and valid U.S. Passport.
- Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience in supply and warehouse management in government or military environments, or High School Diploma with a minimum of 6-8 years relevant experience.
- Experience with retrograde, transportation, property accountability, and environmental compliance.
- Proficiency preparing assets for DLA-DS and coordinating turn-in procedures.
- Knowledge and experience with logistics databases, various DD/DA forms, and proficiency with software such as Microsoft Office suite.
- Capability to travel over 75% of the time outside the continental U.S. (OCONUS).
- Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Forklift operation experience, commercial or military.
- Familiarity with Counter-Rocket, Artillery, Mortar (C-RAM) systems or Integrated Fires / Rapid Capabilities Office (IFRCO) products.
- Experience with Catalog Ordering Logistics Tracking System (COLTS) and Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of Item Unique Identification (IUID) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) systems.
- Understanding of COSIS procedures and documentation.
- Experience preparing large pallets and crates for shipments both within and outside the U.S.
- Awareness of hazardous materials (HAZMAT) requirements and compliance.
