About the Role

We are seeking a Localization Project Manager to oversee and ensure the smooth delivery of website translations and transcreation for a notable client in the retail sector. This full-time role is based in London with a hybrid work schedule requiring three days in the office and two days remote, starting in September for an initial two-month contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all translation and transcreation efforts across the client website and multiple channels.
  • Ensure all localized content maintains consistency and accuracy in line with the client's brand voice and cultural nuances.
  • Collaborate closely with internal Post Production, Studios teams, project managers, and various business stakeholders.
  • Act as liaison with external translation agencies to supervise global translation projects involving product copy and creative materials.
  • Review and quality-check English content intended for international markets.
  • Manage the daily selection process for content requiring transcreation and review back-translations from English.
  • Oversee routine business-as-usual workstreams, set deadlines, and promptly resolve any issues.
  • Maintain effective communication with external agencies to guarantee brand-aligned, high-quality translations.
  • Facilitate document uploads to CAT tools and perform thorough reviews before final delivery.
  • Assist with editing and updating glossaries and block lists to enhance translation consistency.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a localization or translation project manager, ideally within fashion or retail e-commerce sectors.
  • Familiarity with CAT tools and project management platforms such as Monday.com and Smartling.
  • Solid understanding of fashion industry trends and cultural aspects.
  • Knowledge of additional languages, especially French or German, is advantageous.
  • Strong multitasking capabilities and ability to thrive under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
