Role overview
We are looking for an experienced HPC CAD Engineer to help run and improve high-performance computing infrastructure that supports large-scale semiconductor design and verification tasks. The role calls for solid hands-on experience with Linux systems, HPC cluster administration, scheduling tools, scripting, and EDA environments.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee HPC clusters to keep them fast, scalable, and dependable.
- Assist engineering teams by diagnosing issues related to HPC systems and simulation jobs.
- Set up, monitor, and maintain job scheduling platforms.
- Create automation scripts that streamline infrastructure operations.
- Support EDA workloads used by multiple design teams.
- Prepare and maintain operational documentation and technical process notes.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to raise system usage and improve workflow efficiency.
- Assess new technologies and suggest infrastructure enhancements.
Required background
- 2.5 to 5 years of experience in HPC, Linux administration, or CAD infrastructure.
- Practical experience with HPC schedulers such as LSF, SGE, RTDA, Slurm, or similar tools.
- Strong working knowledge of Linux/Unix administration.
- Ability to write scripts in Python, Bash, Perl, or Tcl.
- Experience supporting semiconductor EDA tools such as Cadence, Synopsys, or Siemens EDA.
- Understanding of distributed computing environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Clear communication and teamwork skills.
Nice-to-have experience
- Exposure to AI/ML workloads.
- Familiarity with TensorFlow or LLM infrastructure.
- Knowledge of cluster tuning and performance monitoring.
Employment details
This is a contract position for 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
Eligibility
Applicants should hold a B.Tech / B.E. degree in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE).
